RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At calmherbs.ca, we want to make the return process as smooth and easy as possible. If you wish to return eligible products for any reason, you may send them back to us within 30 days from the invoice date.

For your convenience:

  1. You have up to 30 days from the invoice date to return eligible merchandise.
  2. We do not charge a restocking fee.
  3. We do not require return authorization in advance, although contacting us by email is helpful if you have questions about your return.

RETURN INSTRUCTIONS

Please include a copy of your invoice in the return package, or include a note with your:

  • full name
  • address
  • telephone number
  • order number or invoice number

If possible, please also include a short explanation for the return. This is not required, but your feedback helps us better understand customer needs and improve our products and services.

Qualifying returns are eligible for a refund to your original method of payment. If a refund cannot be issued to the original payment method for any reason, we will contact you by email to discuss the available options.

REFUNDS

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email if your refund has been approved or declined.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment within a reasonable period of time. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or payment provider to post the refund to your account.

Refunds apply only to qualifying returned items that meet the return conditions described in this policy.


POLICY RESTRICTIONS

Shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to an error by calmherbs.ca, such as the wrong item being sent or the item arriving damaged due to our handling.

If a package is refused or is non-deliverable and returned to us, it may be treated as a return. Any return shipping fees charged by the carrier may be deducted from the refund amount. Original shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the return is due to an error by calmherbs.ca.

We are not able to guarantee product exchanges or store credits. Refunds are issued only in accordance with this policy.

Returned items must be in their original, undamaged packaging, and refunds will be issued only for the unused portion of the product returned, where applicable.

We do not accept returns on products that have been mixed or blended with other ingredients, as this prevents us from assessing the original product condition.

If you are purchasing bulk ingredients for formulations, blends, or recipes, please inspect your materials carefully before combining them with other ingredients. We strongly recommend testing a small batch first if you have any concerns about how an ingredient may perform in your intended use.

We do not accept returns for:

  • clearance items
  • opened bottles of essential oils
  • opened herbal extracts
  • products with broken tamper-evident seals
  • products that have been mixed, altered, or contaminated after delivery
  • products returned outside the 30-day return window

Please do not send back products that do not meet the return criteria above, as we will not be able to issue a refund for non-qualifying items. We may also be unable to return those items to you.


FREIGHT FORWARDERS AND THIRD-PARTY SHIPPING

If your order is delivered to a freight forwarder or another third-party shipping service chosen by you, then you or that third party becomes responsible for the goods once they have been delivered to that forwarding address.

calmherbs.ca is not responsible for damage, loss, delay, or quality concerns that arise after delivery to a freight forwarder or after the goods leave Canada through a third-party forwarding service.

This means that calmherbs.ca may not be able to provide a replacement or refund for goods delivered to a freight forwarder, or for issues reported after the package has been forwarded outside Canada.


DISCREPANCIES, SHORTAGES, AND DAMAGED ITEMS

If your order arrives with any discrepancy, shortage, damage, or broken merchandise, please contact us as soon as possible at:

All discrepancies, shortages, damaged merchandise, and return requests must be reported within 30 days of the invoice date.

Requests for compensation, replacement, or other remediation made after 30 days from the invoice date may not be accepted.


NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

For health, safety, and product integrity reasons, certain items may not be eligible for return once opened or used. These include, but are not limited to:

  • essential oils with opened seals
  • herbal extracts with opened seals
  • mixed or blended raw ingredients
  • clearance or final sale items

If you are unsure whether an item qualifies for return, please email us before mailing it back.
